The Egyptian Papyrus with
Ramses II and Goddess Isis
The Egyptian King Ramses II, is shown making an offering to the Goddess Isis.
From the tomb of King Ramses II.
The Egyptian Papyrus is made by slicing thin strips of River Nile reeds and laying them criss-cross.
They are then soaked in water and dried under weight. The result makes a very durable paper, which has been used since ancient times.
The papyrus painting measures aproximately 9" X 12."
It is painted in Gouache watercolor.
