The Egyptian Papyrus with
King Tutankhamun and wife Ankhesenamun
Hunting
The Egyptian King Tutankhamun is shown hunting with his wife, Ankhesenamun.
She was one of the daughters of Nefertiti.
They are shown on the River Nile, hunting geese.
From a tomb scene of King Tutankhamun.
The Egyptian Papyrus is made by slicing thin strips of River Nile reeds and laying them criss-cross.
They are then soaked in water and dried under weight. The result makes a very durable paper, which has been used since ancient times.
The papyrus painting measures aproximately 9" X 12."
It is painted in Gouache watercolor.
